Gale Gand is an American pastry chef, cookbook author, and television personality. She has been an executive pastry chef at several high-end restaurants in the United States and has won several James Beard Foundation Awards for her work. We are so grateful that she continues to share her passion for pastries through teaching at The Joyful Gourmet!
Learn the art of preparing a classic German meal of Chicken Schnitzel; tender, perfectly breaded schnitzels, from selecting the best cuts of meat to mastering the perfect coating and frying technique. Chef Gale Gand will teach you how to make Chive and Mustard Spaetzle, Sauteed Purple Cabbage with Prunes, Bacon and Balsamic, and Apple Pear Strudel for dessert. Tastes will be provided at the end of class.
